A truly inspired and inspiring film!!
I look forward to reading your 200-word (minimum) reflections on it (including, if desired, the readings & our class discussion)
Post by midnight Thursday & read everyone's posts over the weekend.
Responses to posts optional, but encouraged!
ALSO: a reminder that we will start next class by hosting students from Say Sí and I will show-and-tell about my work & the UTSA New Media Program.
The rest of the session is studio & 1-on-1. Because I recognize that it can be a challenge to bring in something to work on when you are used to working off-premises, I'm bringing in a stack of National Geographic Magazines in case anybody would like to put into practice (in 2D collage form) what we witnessed in the film. If you do have stuff to work on for first critique, however, please do work on it... but we will all be at it, on the premises, until 9PM.
FINALLY: The first Luminaria logistics meeting has been announced for
Tuesday, February 9th at 6:00 pm at the
Map of Pearl Stable location at: http://www.eventsatpearl.com/maps
Would anybody(s) like to act as a representative for the UTSA New Media Program exhibition? This is great experience, and will be duly noted for extra credit.
If so, please email me.
